The Road Back to Great Credit: Course #3

In this lesson we will teach you the effect your bankruptcy may have had on your secured debts and we will talk to you about ways to use installment loans to get a big boost in your score.

Your task for this lesson is to contact one of the bank representatives listed below and discuss with them the possibility of getting a small installment loan with them. It will cost you a little bit to do this, but the amount you will save by the resulting boost to your credit score will be well worth it.

California Coast Credit Union: They offer secured credit cards as well as secured installment loans, if you are still looking for sources for more credit cards. These cards can later be converted to regular credit cards. Contact Diana Sablan at 858-495-1600x4460. She will be able to help you with opening an account if you are not already a member and with a secured card if interested. They also offer a budgeting program that will help you in your quest to reestablish your credit and keep it good.

San Diego County Credit Union: Contact Deanna, Bernadette or Anne at 877-732-2848x8739, x8738, x8736, respectively. They can help you with both a secured installment loan and a secured credit card.

When you contact either any of them, tell them that you were referred by The Ashcraft Firm and they should know how to help you right away.

You should start the next lesson in a week from now.

Good Luck!
